I Write Energy Into Words
I am an energy writer.
Stories move through me as if they need to leave the space around me and land on paper. Though I dreamed of being a writer as a teenager, the Stopping to Smell the Flowers series was born quite organically, without goals or timelines.
Often, while observing something simple and ordinary, I would feel a swoosh—a moment of noticing, a quiet knowing—that what I was witnessing needed to be captured, that it was a “story.”
When that happened, I would write down just three words to anchor the feeling and the knowing I received. Months, sometimes years later, I would return to those same three words, and the full story would pour out, exactly as it always intended to.
How Stopping to Smell the Flowers Was Born
As a teenager, I dreamed of being a writer - but life unfolded as it does. I went to university, built a career, got married, and welcomed two children.
One day, while in the basement, I found a box filled with handwritten stories I'd written over time. I knew I had to make a choice:
throw the box away - or finally give the stories a home.
I chose to type them out, simply so my children might one day see what I had created. As I typed, something unexpected happened. I heard myself say:
"This story goes after that one."
"This one definitely goes at the end."
And then the thought arrived:
This could be a book.
Choosing the Brave Thing
The idea of publishing a book, met me with fear - real, tangible fear. At first, i denied it. But I've learned that when I receive that tap on the shoulder - the invitation to be brave - it's usually something I choose to do on this trip to planet Earth.
That is how Stopping to Smell the Flowers: Extraordinary Observations of Everyday Life came into being.
Then came another nudge.
Why not a trilogy?
The stories - and the books - kept flowing.

A New Series Is Arriving
And now, once again, something new has arrived - completely unplanned, just like the first series.
The fear returned, so I honored it the same way I always do:
I wrote down three words.
Then three sentences.
And gently observed what was asking to be born.
What revealed itself is a series about manifestation - about noticing energy, moving it within and around us, and opening ourselves to receiving the life we dream of. At its heart, it is about feeling good while we are here.

Energy Healing & Shared Transformation
Since stepping away from the traditional career world, I've discovered that I am also an energy healer.
But the healing isn't something I do to you - it's something we do together. We work with your energy and the energy around you, witnessing what it's bringing forward, releasing what no longer serves, and inviting in what's ready to arrive.
This is why Stopping to Smell the Flowers: A Healing and Resource Center carries the message:
Echoing a Remembrance of Your Magnificence through Short Story Awakenings and Offerings
Because we all hold the ability to heal our lives.
Because joy is allowed.
Because you are magnificent.
It's time to claim it.
